mVisa is the new transformative way to pay with your mobile phone. There’s no need to carry cash. Just scan the QR code to make your payments.

The mVisa QR Code is a form of a bar code that has the merchant’s information (merchant name & account number) required for the payment. You will just need to scan this QR code with the scanner built in the mVisa app to start the payment process.

You only need a smartphone with a data connection and your bank’s mobile-app that supports mVisa, downloaded on your phone.

mVisa makes payments easier everywhere. Just look for the mVisa acceptance mark wherever you wish to pay, whether it’s a retail store or your favourite shopping website.

Follow these four simple steps to set up your mVisa account:
1. Download the mobile banking app of your bank that supports mVisa from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Open your bank’s app in your smartphone.
3. Now link your credit / debit / pre-paid card that you want to use to pay.
4. Finally, to keep your mVisa transactions and account secure, set your mPIN (passcode) and keep it to yourself. You will need to enter the mPIN everytime you pay with mVisa.
To help you keep track of your payments and budgets, all your mVisa transactions will be recorded on your electronic or paper statement. You may need to check with your bank for the registration process and complete list of functionalities.

1) To pay at a store?
1. Look for the mVisa acceptance mark and QR code at the billing counter.
2. Scan the merchant’s QR code or type in the mVisa Merchant ID in the app.
3. Enter the exact amount you need to pay the merchant.
4. Authenticate the transaction with your mPIN (passcode).
5. Get the transaction confirmation.
2) To pay online?
1. Spot the mVisa acceptance mark and the QR code on the check-out/ billing page when you are ready for your purchase.
2. Scan this QR code or type in the numeric merchant ID.
3. You will either need to enter the payable amount or scanning the QR code will automatically display the payable amount.
4. Authenticate the payment with your mPIN (passcode) and confirm the transaction.
5. Get the transaction confirmation instantly.
3) To make bill payments?
1. Spot the mVisa acceptance mark and the QR code on your bill.
2. Scan this QR code or type in the numeric merchant ID.
3. You will either need to enter the payable amount from the bill or scanning the QR code will automatically display the payable amount.
4. Authenticate the payment with your mPIN (passcode) and confirm the transaction.
5. Get the transaction confirmation instantly.

If you lose your mobile phone, please contact your bank immediately. With mVisa, you authorize each payment with an mPIN (passcode) which prevents other people from using your account even when you lose your phone as only you know your mPIN.

You can request the merchant directly for a refund or contact your bank just as you would with any credit or debit card payment.
